Luís Figo will receive next sunday France Football¿s European footballer of the year trophy (Ballon d'Or or Golden Ball) in Santiago Bernabéu stadium. On Sunday Real Madrid will play at home against Oviedo for the 18th week of the Spanish I League.
Eusébio - the best Portuguese football player ever and the only Portuguese player getting the Ballon d¿Or before Figo - will be at the stadium to watch the event.
Figo will get the trophy for the 2000 European footballer of the year from Gérard Ernault ¿ the French magazine director. Joseph Blatter - FIFA¿s president ¿ and Angel Vilar ¿ from the Spanish Football Federation - are expected to be attending the event.
Other football stars, like Di Stéfano, Kopa, Bobby Charlton, Luís Suárez and Rumennigge, will also be in Santiago Bernabéu next Sunday.
